FAQs
HOw do i know if coaching is right for me?
If you're feeling stuck, uncertain, or like something in your life no longer fits—but you're not sure what comes next—coaching can help.
Many of my clients aren't in crisis. From the outside, life often looks "fine." They simply know something inside is asking for attention.
Coaching offers a thoughtful space to slow down, hear yourself more clearly, and move forward with greater confidence and self-trust.
Is coaching the same as therapy?
No.
Therapy often focuses on healing the past or treating mental health conditions.
Coaching is forward-looking. We explore where you are today, what's getting in the way, and where you want to go next.
Sometimes emotions arise in coaching—that's completely welcome—but our work is centered on helping you create meaningful movement in your life.
If I ever believe another type of support would serve you better, I'll tell you honestly.
What kinds of transitions do you help people navigate?
Many of the women I work with are navigating:
-
Empty nest
-
Career change or retirement
-
Relationship shifts
-
Loss or caregiving
-
Health changes
-
Questions about purpose and identity
-
A general feeling that life is asking something new of them
Sometimes there's one clear transition.
Sometimes it's simply the feeling that "something needs to change."
What happens during a coaching session?
Our conversations are thoughtful, practical, and deeply collaborative.
You won't receive advice or be told what you "should" do.
Instead, I'll ask questions that help you hear yourself more clearly, uncover what's most important, and identify meaningful next steps that feel aligned with who you are.
What if I don't know what I want?
That's actually one of the most common reasons people come.
You don't need clarity before coaching.
Finding clarity is often the work itself.
How many sessions do most clients do?
While every client is different, meaningful change usually happens over time.
Many people choose to work together for several months, allowing space to build insight, confidence, and lasting momentum rather than rushing toward quick answers.
Do you give advice?
Occasionally I'll share observations, resources, or perspectives when they're helpful.
But coaching isn't about me having the answers.
It's about helping you discover yours.
Are our conversations confidential?
Yes.
Creating a psychologically safe space is one of my highest priorities.
Everything we discuss remains confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or professional ethical standards.
Do you meet in person or virtually?
I work with clients virtually via Zoom, making it easy to connect wherever you're located.
How do I get started?
It begins with a conversation.
We'll talk about what's bringing you here, where you're feeling stuck, and whether coaching feels like the right fit.
If it does, we'll decide together what the next step looks like.
Do I need to meditate to work with you?
Not at all.
While I'm also a meditation teacher, coaching and meditation are separate offerings.
If mindfulness or meditation would genuinely support your goals, we may incorporate simple practices—but only if they feel right for you.
Our work is always tailored to you.
