Greetings!  Are you a meditator in the making?

Perhaps you already meditate and you are interested in deepening your practice? Whether this is your first exploration into meditation or you are an expert, I’m excited to share my experience as a meditator and what I teach!

 

It’s likely you’ve heard that meditation offers a multitude of health benefits for a happier life. Some of the delicious side effects of a consistent practice include: less stress, better sleep, anti-aging effects, more clarity of purpose, deeper connection with others, and overall increased feelings of contentment and fulfillment. 

 

Why I meditate

Before learning to meditate, I struggled with recurring feelings of lack, doubt, and regret. I felt easily discouraged and rarely satisfied. I bounced from thing to thing eternally seeking self-improvement and something to give me purpose. I wrestled with a harsh inner-critic who told me that nothing was good enough and I believed her!

In short, I struggled with anxious and depressive thoughts. And while part of me liked the "seeker" in me - she was adventurous and open minded - a bigger part of me whispered "settle down already!" The "not-enoughness" became draining and I knew it was preventing me from stepping fully into my life and becoming who I was meant to be. 

 

Since learning to meditate, my experience of life has shifted dramatically. Instead of being governed by “shoulds” and feelings of “not enough", I enjoy a sense of knowingness and inner contentedness. I feel more settled within my soul and the relationship I have with myself is pretty awesome! I am more satisfied with my own solitude, I am less disappointed in myself and others, things that used to get me down just roll on by without callateral damage. In turn, all other relationships have improved and I have started a new business that brings me joy and fulfillment.

 

Meditation has gifted me with an expanded level of awareness, courage and connection that I never imagined possible.

What is Meditation?

Meditation is a tool for releasing stress, achieving deep rest and rediscovering the body’s own inner intelligence. Practiced for thousands of years, it’s not about forcing the mind to be quiet, it’s about connecting to the silence that’s already there and making it a part of your life.

Silence is the birthplace of happiness, creativity and infinite possibilities. From this field of pure potentiality we get our bursts of inspiration, our most intuitive thoughts, and our deepest sense of connection to the Universe. Practicing meditation on a daily basis allows you to weave silence and stillness into your mind and body to create a life of greater compassion and fulfillment. Meditation is a journey to the center of our very being; a journey to emotional freedom; and a journey to the reawakening of our unconditioned self.

What is Mantra Meditation?

Mantra Meditation (aka: Primordial Sound Meditation, developed by Drs. Deepak Chopra and David Simon), is a silent, mantra-based, transcendental meditation technique originating in the ancient wisdom traditions of India. Mantras or "Primordial Sounds" — the basic, most essential sounds of nature — are used to transcend thought, that is to say, to go beyond our thoughts and connect us with the silence and stillness of our infinite potential. These individually selected sounds are based on the vibration the universe was making at the moment of your birth. 

 

Once your personal Primordial Sound mantra has been determined, you will be taught how to use it on a daily basis to reawaken balance, tranquility and compassion within. As your Chopra Center Certified Instructor, I will help you to integrate this meditation practice into your daily routine.

How will Mantra Meditation affect my health?

Nowadays, doctors are increasingly citing stress as a major contributing factor to most illnesses. Even though meditation should not be considered a cure by itself, research has shown it to be beneficial for a wide range of health problems. During meditation, stress is released and, as accumulated stress is eliminated, our minds and bodies begin to function with maximum effectiveness, creating health, vitality and happiness.

Mantra Meditation is recommended for anyone who wishes to deepen their meditation practice or simply to enjoy deeper peace, greater freedom and mastery of life. There are no requirements or advanced knowledge needed to learn it.

How do I learn Mantra Meditation?

Mantra Meditation is easily learned in four short sessions over a period of a few days. It is important that students attend all four sessions in order to complete and fully benefit from the course. The course can be taken virtually or in person.

​

In Lesson One, you will be introduced to the basic principles of meditation, its many benefits and some of the science behind it. You will also learn about the history of this 5000 year old practice and the importance of your mantra.

​

In Lesson Two, you will receive your own personal Primordial Sound mantra and learn how to use it. You will try meditation for the first time using your mantra. We will discuss your experience and answer any questions you have.

 

In Lesson Three, you will learn the practical aspects of meditation, and how to integrate the practice into your life. The class will help you understand the mechanics of the mantra and mind. We will meditate together and discuss your experience meditating at home. 

 

In Lesson Four, you will attend a lecture about the higher states of consciousness that can be achieved with a regular practice of Mantra Meditation. After sharing observations and questions you might have, we will meditate together. 

​

Following the course, you will be invited to join my Course Follow-Up group meditation and discussion within 2-4 weeks of course completion, where I can offer coaching for your budding meditation practice. As one of my students you will be included in on-going group meditations where you can meet other mantra meditators, share your experiences and ask questions. It is important to me that my students feel supported, especially at the beginning of establishing their meditation practice.

Class Schedule & Investment

My course is set up to take place on three consecutive days. Typically, Session One & Two occur on the same day so that you can start meditating right away! Classes may be private/ one-on-one or in a small group, and can be taken in person or on Zoom. Accommodations can sometimes be made to fit a student's schedule.

 

Your personal investment for this course is $500*. This effortless practice is yours to keep and develop for a lifetime. Follow up group meditations are free and available to all those who complete the course. The meditation course can also be added to any coaching package.  *Student, Senior & Veteran rates available.
